This bike was created for Josh, the artist's, Year of the Chopper project. Every week for one year he's building and selling a motorcycle chopper, with ALL proceeds going to two non-profit organizations: Lifebuilders Detroit and Home Fur-ever. For more information, check out my blog: www.yearofthechopper.blogspot.com This Harley is a tig welded sculpture made from nuts, bolts, screws, and other scraps of forgotten metal. After welding, it was cleaned and painted black, then clear coated. A great gift for the motorcycle enthusiast on your shopping list! This Softail is the 105th bike sculpture overall that Josh has built, and it's the 15th Year of the Chopper sculpture. Each and every piece is unique and comes with a signed and numbered certificate. This particular piece is 6 1/2" long, 2 1/2" tall, and 2 3/8" wide at the handlebars.

A one of a kind necklace. Extracted from a vintage typewriter, this piece embodies upcycling at its finest. At 18" the necklace rests at the collarbone level and would be an incredible accessory for an evening out. The necklace transitions from two to one black round leather cord and has a silver hook clasp that features a vintage "Set" typewriter button which hangs two inches down the back neckline. The little bolt, screw and spring accents on the cord are also from the typewriter.

This modern earring design is inspired by nature yet can be interpreted in many ways. The earwires are sterling silver and the 'leaves' are brushed aluminum. The design allows the earrings to move freely when they are worn and the gentle crease in each leaf reflects light softly. Comfortable to wear – the use of aluminum allows the earrings to be durable yet lightweight. These earrings are just under 1 3/4" (43mm) long from the curve of the earwire to the end of the earring.

The most beautiful, romantic luminaries, each so intricate, and all individual: no two are the same. The effect when lit is just magical. Each traditional paper cut is cut by hand, then mounted onto a heavy vellum sleeve, which sits over your votive or tea light. These are absolutely stunning as dinner party table decoration, or just clustered around your home. Each one has its own character and style, and they look even better grouped together. They come flat packed with double sided tape already applied, so all you need to do is peel and stick them neatly.

So, so amazing, you've probably seen this already, but I couldn't resist. Here's what Anastassia says about her work, "I cut the small paper shapes that I stick inside the toilet paper rolls. I use tweezers to manipulate the paper shapes. I select the paper of the same color as the roll. It gives the illusion that the paper figures make part of the roll. I need few hours to make one piece." Click through to Anastassia's website for loads more fantastic images.

Oil painting of Liz Taylor from the film Cleopatra. A tribute to the film that is infamous for nearly bankrupting 20th C Fox. The second most expensive film produced in the United States after Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. This canvas is very unusual and looks great on the wall because it is round (24" diameter) and the sides are painted black, so the painting is all ready to hang as is.

It was great to see UK illustrator Sarah Young mentioned on Design Sponge today. I bought a couple of Sarah's prints many years ago from a tiny gallery in Huddersfield (sadly no longer there). I was pleased to see that she is still selling one of my favourites, Elephant, a very beautiful linocut that's printed in black on Bhutanese handmade paper. Click on the link below to see more of Sarah's fantastic print work.
