Sweet Pea in Purple by Kim Westad

Super cute hand-thrown porcelain vessel accented with a pebble inspired surface design in white. The pebble design is comprised of individually applied slip dots that are slightly raised above the surface. This gives the exterior a nice, tactile quality and interesting visual texture. The exterior of the vessel is unglazed, while the interior is covered in purple for a nice pop of color. This little guy would make a nice addition to any display and pairs easily with other pieces – especially other Sweet Peas!

The Hook by Hole in my Pocket

A beautiful printed illustration of a bear fight from an original watercolour of a scene from a short story. This fight is not as it seems though, the fighter and the bear are in cahoots. The bear arrives in a village, causes a lot of trouble and then a few days later the fighter arrives. He offers to save the village in exchange for a large bag of silver and then he and the bear stage a mock fight at the end of which the bear is beaten and runs out of the village into the woods. The fighter later joins him and the two share out the silver. This fool proof plan serves them very well for many months until something quite unplanned happens… Unframed and unmounted 15cm x 20cm (5.9" x 7") digital archival art print on Somerset Velvet 330gsm paper. Signed edtion of 100.

Sea Anemone Ring in Thembu Sky by Beloved Beadwork

A particularly important colour in Thembu beadwork from South Africa's Eastern Cape, the blue used in this ring is rich and strong. Made using lots of time and care, a strong kind of braided fishing line designed for really heavy fish, and Japanese and Czech glass beads. These little rings are really fun and comfortable to wear, and be warned, you might find yourself getting more complements than you can handle!

Night Sky Stoneware Bowl by Leili Art & Design

You can probably tell by looking at some of my previous blog posts that I'm a sucker for bold graphic shapes. This very beautiful wheel-thrown bowl really ticks all the right boxes! The deep black interior surface has a constellation of white slip-trailed dots. The exterior of the bowl is a simple glossy white, making the stars inside, a real celestial surprise. It’s like staring into the starry night sky in a place that doesn’t have light pollution. Signed. One of a kind. High-fired stoneware. Diameter: 7”. Height: 6”.
