Bandicoots are some of the more visible animals in suburban gardens as they love to snoot around for worms in freshly rained on lawns. They are nocturnal, as are most of Tasmania's and Australia's native animals. Due to their liking for lawns, they come into contact with domestic pets quite frequently, and consequently a significant reason for the reduction in their numbers is due to being killed by cats and dogs. People are now more aware and try to keep their pets indoors, especially at the time of night Bandicoots are active. This handsome little fella is slip-cast using a porcelaineous stoneware, hand finished and measures 8cm long x 4cm high. Fantastic!
