Peacock lino print, measuring approx 8 x 6 inches. Colours are from blue through to lilac with a soft graduation, producing delicate tones that work beautifully with the whole composition. Hand printed onto heavy cartridge paper and trimmed to leave a small margin round the image for versatility when framing. This is one of a kind, as no two prints are quite the same. The image is limited to 50 editions in various colourways and is signed, dated and numbered by the artist.

This is fantastic! I love the use of a gradient it adds so much depth to the image. Definitely something to try in my own work.
Thanks for your comment Rachel, it's a beautiful effect and well worth experimenting with.
This is an amazing lino cut, especially when you take into account how difficult carving curves into lino is.
Great peacock.
Thank you for the lovely comments. I'm a newcomer to lino cutting (this was my third one) and I'm enjoying the journey, learning new things with each one. It's a really fun tangent from my usual painting work and I hope to do many more, as per my new year resolution for 2012.
It's a really great piece Jools, I'm now following your blog to keep up to date with all your new work :)
