A different dish each day to explore new textures and ways of working. Find more work in progress pictures and information on Lisa's flickr stream http://www.flickr.com/photos/c-urchin/ This small flat-bottomed dish has an impressed pattern of individually textured circles…a faux mosaic. The texture has been coloured with a chocolate brown underglaze and each 'tile' has been painted a bright candy colour. This piece is subtly stamped with the artist's initials, 87-365 05.10.10 on the outside. The piece is 4 inches/10cm across and 3/4inch/2cm high. Beautiful!

Bleached Coral Porcelain Dish by Seaurchin
A highly textured ceramic sculpture, this unique low dish has a sculpted pattern of coral gills. The bowl is made of high fired porcelain, and has not been glazed, but left as an off white/ivory colour…perfect for coral! The underside of the bowl has a slight bumpy texture and subtle clay creases.
